Denver will represent the Summit in the NCAAs. They will travel to California to play #3 seed and host, Stanford:

South Dakota, with a #38 RPI and only two season losses, narrowly missed an at-large bid to the NCAAs. They were in the “first four out” group. Bummer.
They did get an auto-bid to the NIVC tournament, and will host the first two rounds:

For the NIVC, there are initially 32 auto-bids, but if the teams decline they go to at-large bids to fill in the bracket. There are two criterea: 500 or better overall record, and they offer bids to the highest remaining RPI teams.
That means that Omaha had to have turned down their bid. NDSU also had a higher RPI, but not a winning overall record. Too bad Omaha chose not to participate.December 7, 2019 at 3:47 am #1524December 7, 2019 at 3:49 am #1525December 7, 2019 at 3:58 am #1526December 11, 2019 at 3:04 pm #1535
